Black Dog Ballroom NQ has announced the re-opening of its private ballroom, as ‘The Jameson Ballroom’ on Friday 23rd February 2018, with the return of the highly sought after ‘Dog Tags’, 100 of which will be given away to the first 100 people visiting it on the night.
The hidden speakeasy bar under the stairs has undergone extensive refurbishment in collaboration with Jameson Irish Whiskey and will be open every Friday and Saturday to Dog Tag holders, who can also queue jump and get free entry to Black Dog Ballroom at all times. |

New Booth Street basement bar Lily's have teamed up with Foodinate to fight food poverty. On Tuesday 6th March, they launch a brand new initiative in their upstairs 1761 restaurant, which will see them donate a nourishing meal to poverty charity, The Mustard Tree, for every dish sold on Mondays and Tuesdays.
You can dine in harmony, knowing that whilst eating from their fantastic locally-influenced menu, you're also feeding a fellow Mancunian who is homeless or trapped in poverty. |

The Lowry Hotel in association with Maggie’s Cancer Support Centre will be hosting a unique costume ball on Saturday 10th March 2018, with a three course dinner, entertainment, singer, DJ, disco, raffle and auction, to raise funds for people affected by cancer.
The event is based on one of the region’s most glamorous historic events, when, in 1828, generous philanthropists of the North West attended an extravagant costume ball to raise money for local charity. Prominent citizens at the 19th Century celebration included the Lord Mayor, MPs, industrial magnates and the Home Secretary Robert Peel. The scene was captured by artist Arthur Perigal and is a social record of the ‘cream of Manchester society’. |
