Cafe Bar Manchester |
|
Just
off busy and bustling Piccadilly, the MC Café Bar, located
on the ground floor of ABode Manchester, is the place to drop in to,
from breakfast until late evening. Double Michelin-star winner Michael
Caines' philosophy is that great food should be accessible to everyone
and this inclusive attitude means that food here is at once delicious,
fast and fun. |
You
can enjoy simply superb coffee or teas together with homebaked pastries
and pâtisseries; light bites such as sandwiches, paninis and
salads; Greek, Spanish or Italian platters to share; delicious pasta
and pizza hot from the oven; or full three-course meals including
fresh fish, steaks, Goosnargh duck and much more. |
There
is always good selection of wines by the glass or bottle; local
and imported beers; and freshly made smoothies, juices and bottled
waters. |
And
as the evening draws out, simply slide over to the adjoining BarMC,
the chilled, late night lounge bar. |

ABode
Manchester launched in March 2008 following extensive refurbishment
of the former Rossetti Hotel. Ideally located, just minutes from bustling
Piccadilly, it retains the period character of a Victorian cotton
merchant's warehouse. Its total refurbishment brings to Manchester
ABode's award-winning understated modern British style, comfort and
luxury, with all the facilities, services and personal touches that
guests have come to expect. |
Michael
Caines dining is the heart and soul of ABode Manchester. On the
ground floor MC Café Bar, offers informal food and drink
throughout the day and evening. You can sample a grazing menu of
small dishes served in the lower level Champagne and Cocktail Bar.
The full Michael Caines fine-dining experience can be enjoyed in
the adjoining Michael Caines Restaurant. ABode Manchester is also
a nighttime destination at BarMC where you can enjoy chilled out
tunes, sexy cocktails, late night bites and more. |

MC
Cafe Bar Reviews |
"We've
had a few meetings at MC Cafe, the informal ground floor restaurant
at the Abode Hotel from double Michelin star chef, Michael Caines.
It's very hard to fault. The decor is light and welcoming, the open
plan layout making it ideal for business meetings or catching up with
friends. |
The
staff are always very eager to please - it's a far cry from the Rosetti
Hotel which used to be here - and the choice of dishes is fantastic.
From salads, sandwiches and pannis to pizzas, platters and fantastic
main's with an emphasis on regional dishes. The price of each dish
is surprisingly cheap - a price, it should be noted, cheaper than
all the main courses at the inferior Brunswick pub next door. |
Michael
Caines explained to us that he wants the dishes to be accessible to
everybody's budget without sacrificing quality - the fine dining restaurant
downstairs offers a more expensive approach - and it's a concept that
pays off. With Piccadilly Station next door and the gay village, Market
Street stores, Apollo Theatre and City of Manchester Stadium all a
short walk away, there can't be many better places to grab a top quality
bite to eat." -
