"Nice
and relaxing and felt looked after. Food tasted homemade
and was lovely. We have called in a few times and
always enjoyed ourselves."

"I
was probably a couple of years too late in making my first visit to
this previously renowned gastro pub as it seems to have dumbed down
to basic pub grub which you could get anywhere. Very
disappointing experience. Maybe Monday lunch isn't the best
time for any restaurant but it seems really weird that all
the lunchtime main courses were unavailable but they could do the
evening main courses. We wanted more than just a bar snack
so went for 2 Fillet Steaks and 1 Chicken Supreme. The chicken went
down well but the fillet steaks at £18.95 were a real letdown.
Not the greatest meat and certainly not the
best presented meal - a couple of onion rings, 3 small mushrooms
and a fancy cut grilled tomato, burnt at the edges were the pathetic
sides on the plate. Very uninspiring but
at least the chips tasted Ok, even though they didn't look it! No
surprise at all that we were the only people to eat in the restaurant
and the bar area was very quiet. The only good thing to say is that
the bar staff were very friendly and efficient."

"As
a couple in their 40's, we visit regularly on a Sunday afternoon for
a sit, read of the newspaper, and a bottle of Australian Chardonnay.
The lovely Irish man (sorry, I cannot recall his name) who selects
the music does a superb job. For a relaxing, friendly atmosphere
without full-on chrome furniture, we rate the B Lounge The
Bridge extremely highly. Also visit the other B Lounge at The Brunswick
for tapas treats, good wine, friendly staff and sheer relaxation."

"We
ate from the Sunday Lunch menu, where you can have one course for
£7.95, or two for £9.95. I had the Beef Sunday Roast and
it was divine. Not only was the meat cooked
beautifully, the range of vegetables was superb too, with
obviously a great deal of care gone into it. There was cauliflower
cheese, broccolli, two types of potato, parsnips, a really tasty gravy...
and a Yorkshire Pud of course. I had every intention of having a pud
as a second course, but after the incredible main course I couldn't
manage it. An excellent meal, one of the best Sunday
lunches I've had."
