Hanaan
Restaurant Rusholme Manchester - reader comments
"The older waiter was very good, very pleasant. His younger assistant
was totally miserable, almost resentful. Furthermore, the starters
of kebabs were good with a good portion. The main course we had of
Chilli Chicken and Jalfrezi was very small and not in keeping
with the opposition along the Curry Mile in Rusholme. I cannot
see how this restaurant got a four star rating (at the time of writing).
It's definitely only a 3 star and much like most of the other
curry houses in the area!" -

"My wife, myself and niece were going to the Apollo to see the Kelly
Clarkson gig and, as I wasn't too keen, she suggested a pre-gig curry.
We were pretty early (5pm ish) and as the Hanaan had just opened we
were the first customers. The menu is wide & varied
and the food was spot on. I opted for steaming hot
Mushroom Pilau (very generous portion) and piping
hot Chicken Madras. The restaurant quickly began to fill but the service
remained excellent. The bill was very reasonable for the quality
of food presented. There is ample secure parking (just across
the road £3). Remember too to bring your own booze
as they weren't licensed to sell alcohol (off licence nearby though).
Kelly Clarkson was OK but the Hanaan was fantastic!"

"Previously dined at Sanaam and Hawelli's and was unimpressed; either
the meat was tough or the variety of dishes we ate tasted identical
and very greasy. We thought we would not find a half decent restaurant
on Wilmslow Road, Rusholme. After reading many reviews decided
on Hanaam's, pleased to say we made the right choice and
the coconut ice-cream was divine. Offers 15% discount to NUS card
holders!" -

"Nice
and modern decor accompanied by traditional quality
Asian cooking, the accompaniments to the Poppadums had
a house 'special' which was out of this world and thankfully the
waiter knew EXACTLY what ingredients were in it which makes
a change from most restaurants. Thanks for a great night - my brother
in law was visiting from Scotland and the Hanaan turned a good visit
into a very memorable one" -
