"Utter Disaster. Do not go to spoil your evening.
Will take only cash (trying to save Vat!?!). Awful service,
rubbish food, smoky rooms. What the hell was that?" -

"Terrible restaurant. As soon as we arrived through
the door, the smell of smoke from the kitchen immediately stung our
eyes. They don't have a proper kitchen. The menu cards are made from
cheap plastic and are ripped. Me and my family had to find our own
table because no waiter came to seat us. We found one table in the
corner as the rest were taken. As we sat down we felt like we were
on a slope, the table was tilting diagonally. To our luck we found
a different table and no surprise it had used lollies and leftover
food scattered around it. We had to get the waiter ourselves
and we ordered the food. The only good thing about the food
is that is extremely cheap and excellent value for money!
We had to wait for 45 minutes for our food but I have to say it was
worth it. I would probably recommend the food to
people but never in a million years the atmosphere. 6/10" -

"It was OK but needs a lot of improvements because there wasn't
good service and the toilets were disgusting.
They defo need a re-do plus they are very small. The tables and chairs
are very dull and uncomfortable. But the food
tasted alright but I have tasted better. If they make some
improvements they'll eventually get there" -

"Awful restaurant - if you can call it a restaurant.
It's more a take-away. We came in and stood waiting
for a while - didn't know whether someone would come and sit us down
or if we were to choose our own seat - the staff seemed too busy to
notice us. Finally a chef asked a waiter to take us to a table. As
mentioned in other reviews (below), it was also extremely
noisy on my visit. The waiters were all just waking around
looking busy and no one came to take our order so we had to ask for
someone to come over and do so. Many other diners were growing impatient
with the poor service - I witnessed 3 different people
actually get up and fetch the waiter to their table. By the time we
placed the order the waiter was very aggressive and not helpful
at all. The dishes arrived at different intervals and they
forgot that we ordered Naan Bread. We had to ask for it again although
I wish we hadn't as it was cold and too dry. The food was
horrible, meat was overcooked and cold and
the salad was old and soggy. You have to pay at the
till on the way out and the guy taking the cash (who also takes the
takeaway orders) wasn't friendly at all. It was not a good experience
and considering all the other good restaurants in Rusholme I'd advise
anyone to stay well clear!" -

"I've been looking forward to my visit to Kebabish Original for sometime
- apart from the rave reviews below, it's also the hub of activity
on Wilmslow Road and the only restaurant that is always full whatever
time day or night - the clientelle are also 90% Asian,
which is also a good sign. From the outside though, it looks little
more than a takeaway and I wish I had simply done that -
ordered the food and taken away. Apart from being dirty
and little more than a diner - metal tables and sellotaped
laminated menu cards - the ambience was terrible.
Signs stated 'strictly no alcohol on the premises'
whilst the wall-mounted TV broadcast an English-speaking Asian TV
channel; it's Bollywood film reviews piped through the extremely
loud speakers on full blast. Children were screaming and
people had to shout at each other to be heard over the din. The waiters,
who were obviously too busy to do their job, were constantly being
chased around by customers demanding to know where half their order
had got to, and when they were present, they were almost aggressive
and very hard to hear over the background noise. The food was extremely
cheap for Rusholme (£5 for a main course) however the
quality wasn't very good - poor lamb cuts, brown
lettuce and dry Naan's. Whilst the Roast Chicken in the window looked
inviting enough, I certainly wouldn't be returning for anything more
than a takeaway - and even then there's far better choices along Wilmslow
Road." -
