"We
were visiting Manchester for the day and we decided to go to Sanam's
for an evening meal. Upon arriving we were shown to our table, firstly
the décor is 1980's at best - who has plastic
sheets on the dining tables anymore!?! Anyway we ordered a starter
each, Chicken and Lamb Tikka respectively. Both dishes were garnished
with one stale cucumber, one quarter of a tomato and a piece of lettuce.
Whilst tucking into the rubber like tikka's we were approached by
a waiter who requested we order the main's, we told him that we had
to think about it and we were told that if we did not order then we
would be put in the back of the queue and our food would be delayed!
I would understand if the place was heaving but it was barley half
full! The night got worse when I found a hair. I won't entertain you
further other than to say this place has no class,
the food is poor, the service is even worse
and I will be spreading the word" -

"Myself,
husband and daughter had a brilliant meal at Sanam. The food
was excellent and the service first class.
Nothing was too much trouble. We will be definitely returning." -

"I
have been a loyal customer of Sanams for over twenty years. I started
when I was a young boy and my parents used to take me there for a
special occasion. Twenty years on and Sanam is far from the
most stylish restaurant in Manchester but it still remains the best
for its traditional Asian food. Well worth a visit if only
to sample their delicious Indian sweets." -

"Everything
we had like Mix Starter Rice Lamb Rosti Naan's was to the highest
quality and taste, even beats my mothers cooking. This is
the smaller of the 2 Sanam Restaurant, it's the one without an bar
but allows you to bring ur own beers or wine. I come to Manchester
on a train, have a few beers in the city and then have the best curry
there is here, I am of Indian origin, like my food hot but its great
to have it the strength these guys make it - kinda too hot but not
too weak." -

"I
went there with my friend unexpectedly and really enjoyed
the food, it was amazing. I want to go again
and again. The food is mouth watering. Thanks to
Sanam, the food reminded my homeland to me" -

"Sanam
does very good shish kebabs... i have tried many of their dishes and
they are all very tasty and of good standard..
the only downlet of this restaurant is that everytime i have been
to the toilets they are not clean and very messy
which brings the restaurants image down.... food wise Sanams is one
of the better restaurants on Wilmslow Road and its sweet
centre adjoining the restaurant is a must visit too" -

"We
love this restaurant and try to go every other week in the
late afternoon. They do a yummy little chickpea starter, the best
special korma and chicken tikka dopiaza, and kulfi falouda (!!!) and
desi tea. Yum Yum Yum" -
