"I
have been eating at Davardis for thirty years, not often now, as I
have moved some 40 miles away, but still always call if I am in the
area, I usually get a few take aways, and put them in my freezer,
so I can get a occasional fix. they make the best pizzas in
the world!"

"This
pizza place holds a place in the hearts of many local people, helped
by the fact its been open so many years. Most people use the take-away
service, and if u do go to eat there, its a nice little place to go
for a change. It doesn't claim to be a top restaurant. Its kind of
cosy, nice, just dont expect to stay for much longer than
an hour...its not that kind of place. The food is
fantastic and I havn't tasted any other pizza which tastes
even close to similar to those at Davardis. The waiting times vary
but mostly they are accurately estimated and if you do have to wait
the staff are apologetic. A quaint establishment with huge local following!"

"It's
a small friendly pizzeria, where take out is available
if you don't want to sit in. The dining room is basic but
very clean with a cozy relaxed atmosphere.
If you don't want pizza there is a selection of pasta dishes and the
tangy Italian salad makes an excellent accompaniment to all the main
courses. The garlic bread is delicious, freshly made and oozing with
butter and herbs. The pizza I had was more reminiscent of the Italian
variety rather than the tasteless stodge available at most high street
take outs. My only gripe is that the choice of puddings is
very limited. I would like to have had a choice of some traditional
Italian fare, rather than the rather boring apple pie and ice cream
that was available.
There is no alcohol license but customers are encouraged
to bring their own, thereby saving a fortune on bar bills. All in
all, this is a great little eating place where friends
can relax and eat great food while quaffing their
favorite red wine. Many city centre eateries have to rely on being
"trendy", here the food speaks for itself.
If you haven't been yet, try it. You won't be disappointed!"

"Our
family has been visiting Divardi's for over 20 years. The pizza's
and pasta's are outstanding - you will never taste
anything better anywhere else. We love it!"
