"I
had to send my Seafood Risotto back to the kitchen, it was clearly
not fresh. It was so hot I'm surprised it didn't melt its
way through the earth to Australia. It had no substance to it, just
precooked (not even creamy) risotto rice with a thin tomato broth
and self-evidently frozen mixed seafood. Truly appalling
stuff.
Starters
of Calamari and Grilled Sardines were clearly frozen. My local pub
does better for less than half the price! I sent my risotto main
course back (to much pulling of faces by the staff and clearly rude
Italian insults directed at us the rest of the night - I know, my
ex was Italian). The Veal Escallope which came (in less than 5 mins)
was OK. The Neopolitan sauce & spaghetti used as a sidewish
was horrendous. The tomato sauce was bitter with
no depth whatsoever - imagine simmering a tin of chopped tomatoes
for half an hour without using a soffrito or adjusting the seasoning
- that's the sauce. The pasta was tremendously overcooked. My partner
had chicken in a wild mushroom sauce. The sauce's base tasted like
concentrated mushroom soup. Again, inedible.
All this, with a bottle of wine, came to £83! They knocked
off the risotto, but we got nothing, absolutely nothing, else for
having to send back food. When I challenged the Head Waitress, when
paying, to complain that the food was terrible, I was given a shrug
of the shoulders and passed the keypad to type in my pin number.
Not only will I never be going back, I am now telling everyone I
know about my experience and urging them never to visit this vile
restaurant!" -

"I
ate here last week, this place is fab! The decor
is simple but trendy, the atmosphere is great,
the service is exceptional with obviously experienced
Italian waiters and there is a great wine list. The
food was amazing, great choice for all courses, I
had a Mixed Fish Grill, which was perfect, well presented
and extremely tasty! I would definitely recommend this place and I
will definately go back...10/10!" -
